I read an article that said the symptoms of stress are eating too much, smoking too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Hey, that's my idea of a perfect day!

==*==*==*==*==*==*==*==*==

You have people who are frightened, uncertain, and lacking confidence. They're afraid that they can't learn. You have the privilege of watching people change before your eyes, and to know you've been a part of that is the most satisfying feeling in the world. But as they develop confidence in little steps, you see their whole demeanor change. The difference in the student between the beginning and the end of their progress is like a metamorphosis. They're confident and proud of themselves, and they become independent of you. That's the goal.
==*==*==*==*==*==*==*==*==

Sometimes, we love people so much that we have to be numb to it, because if we actaully felt how much we love them, it would kill us.

I know, I know. I haven’t written in this blog in what seems like a million years. I’ve been busy lately. I get the chance to go online only at work… and when I’m at work, I… well, work. Hahaha! It’s only now that I got the chance to write something. My last entry wasn’t even an entry. Hahaha! A lot of things have happened since I last wrote here, and now I will update this blog with whatever has been happening in my life since my last post. There were so many changes, but one thing remains the same: I am still single. Hahahaha!!

March 5, 2005.

That was my last entry. And it probably shouldn't count as a real entry because it wasn't really written by me... Hehehe... I'm blabbing. Anyway, lemme just run by the stuff that's been happening to me since the last time I wrote here...

March 12, 2005.
Toby's Party at Waps' house! Super fun! (toby-bobs-erix-tammy-waps-steph-chuck-mike-dino-juvi-pj-igoy-jem)

March 14, 2005.
PIA ARRIVED FROM AUSTRALIA!!! FYI, Pia is my sister. Well, not really. She's actually my cousin. But since we're soooo close (add to that the fact that my mom and her mom are really close as well), she's almost like my sister. =D

March 17, 2005.
"Reunion" with cousins at Eastwood!!! (pa-josh-nina-erik-rica-tita gang-uncle nuj)

March 19, 2005.
Lola Ester's birthday party! Josh played the guitar for the mass, and Chil, Bobs (yes, Bobs!) and I sang. =D It was a fun party, considering most of the people there were twice (or maybe even triple) my age. Hehehe.

March 20, 2005.
Joshua's Grad! Hehehe. Proud Ate.

March 23 - March 26, 2005 - BICOL!!!! (tammy-kaia-wawie-mikey-dandan-lee)

March 27, 2005. - Manila-Bound -- :( We had lunch at Buddy's in Lucban, though. I had yummy Lucban (duh) Longganisa. :)

March 29, 2005. - back to work... Not. Long story.

April 1, 2005. - Southridge-Poveda Dinner at Eric's house! Yey! Super fun night! We ended up laughing hysterically at Friends. Yes, Friends as in the TV show Friends. None of us knew that most of us have an obsession over the show. hahaha! Wonderful night.

April 2, 2005. - Wawie's wonderfully striped grad dinner party! - Dinner at Bento Box Palanca with Chil, Bobs and Anj - Adventure at the Urdaneta Park hahahaha!!!

April 4, 2005. - My 1st time in Divisoria!!! hahaha! Went with Tita Jing and Bobs. It was super fun! Did a lot of damage to my pocket though...
Damages were:
10.00 - MRT ride to Cubao
14.00 - LRT ride to Recto
5.00 - Jeep to Divisoria
95.00 - CD Wallet
45.00 - Ponytail holders ( I swear, kuminang talag mata ko when i saw how cheap they were!)
40.00 - phone thingee for joshua
40.00 - Lighters for Days
175.00 - Lunch!
600.00 - Capris and Jeans
100.00 - Strawberries
180.00 - Tapis (this cool towel with a garter and velcro that you can wrap yourself with after you shower... nifty!)
150.00 - Eyelet cloth for skirt
130.00 - Cologne (bwahahahaha!)
14.00 - LRT to Cubao
** took the taxi going home, and Tita Jing paid for it. hahaha!
Spent P1,698.00 ... Not bad, diba? :)

APRIL 8 – 23, 2005.
I co-facilitated with Jon my first CCT class! I handled several modules on my own, but most of the time, I was assisting Jon with the rest of the modules. It was really fun! During the first few days, I knew right away why I wanted to become a trainer. On their graduation day, I couldn’t help but shed a few tears. (Sinong iyakin??!) Hahaha! Jon and I sang “The Promise” for the class before we let them go.

APRIL 15 – 17, 2005.
A-Days batch 28! Yey! We had it at LEAP, this pre-school along Greenmeadows Avenue. I missed Friday night because I had to go to work, but I took Saturday off. Chil and I were the music heads for that batch, and… Let’s just say na ang galing ni Jess dahil ang dami niyang pinadalang anghel para sa amin nung batch na yun.

APRIL 25 – 29, 2005.
I co-facilitated with Mac. She was actually in the middle of her run, but I got used to the trainees right away. By the end of the first day, I had memorized all of the trainee’s names! Hehe!!! I wasn’t able to graduate them, though, because… My boss’ boss talked to me, and said that I had to go back to comm coaching because they needed a tenured comm coach for a new (and critical) account. I was perfectly happy where I was (because I really wanted to become a trainer), and I didn’t know that that would happen. I never thought I would cry in front of the CCT manager, but I did, out of disappointment. Needless to say, he felt bad that I felt that way, but not bad enough to make me stay in CCT. **update on this later. May realization to eh. Hahaha!**

MAY 1, 2005.
TQID outing. This was sooooo fun! Mac had “slept-over” the night before (enclosed in quotation marks because we didn’t really sleep). It was my duty to keep her awake during the trip to Laguna because she was driving. The resort was nice, although it could have been nicer. Hahaha! We played A LOT of games. I belonged to tribe Malatungay. We won the first game (buko-pie eating contest)… but we lost the succeeding games. Wah. I had so much fun! But I was also DEAD TIRED after.

MAY 2 – 6, 2005.
I attended ESL training. It was fun, although it was boring at times. I had fun because I was with the CCT trainers, who I probably will not see in a long time. On the 5th, I developed severe lower back pains. I don’t know where the pains came from, but a lot of people said that it stemmed from me wearing three-inch heeled shoes for three consecutive days. Tanga. Hahaha.

MAY 6, 2005.
I was supposed to have dinner with Tammy, Glenn and Fr. Dacanay, but because of my sked, I wasn’t able to follow :( sad. Anyway, I met up with them (sans Fr. Dacnay) at Ateneo. Then I had coffee with Tammy ad Chiara at Starbucks. After a while, Tammy said that she needed to take a dump (sorry, Tam, I had to include this. Haha!). So after about 30 minutes in Starbucks, we went to her house. Little did I know that my friends were already there! They had planned a surprise party for me! Hahaha! Ako naman si tanga, I didn’t notice the 10 million (hyperbole yan ha.) cars parked in front of Tammy’s house. I was soooooo surprised and happy! People from A-days were there, my college friends, and of course, my wonderful high school barkada (whose name I will not mention because I probably will be greeted by angry stares the next time I see them. Hahaha!). I had so much fun! There were a lot of drinks, a lot of food, and good company. We went home at about 4am na!

MAY 7, 2005.
I had dinner with my family at Dad’s. YUMMY. As in. I was seated beside by cute (and favorite… secret lang ha. Hahaha!) cousin, Chinchin. After my first round, I stood up to go to the other end of the table to play with my other cousins, Mico and Yssa.
Here’s what happened:

* Kaia stands up
Chinchin: Saan ka pupunta?
Kaia: Puntahan ko lang sina Mico.
Chinchin: Bakit?
Kaia: Kakausapin ko lang sila.
Chinchin: Bakit? Ayaw mo na akong katabi?

Hahahah! And take note, this kid is two and a half years old!!! Super smart! Mana sa panganay niyang pinsan! Hahaha! So anyway, I stood up and went to my other cousins. After a while, my dad asked me to go out with him to smoke. After one stick, we went inside and I went to the buffet table to get dessert. When I came back…

Chinchin: Saan ka galing?
Kaia: Doon, kumuha ako ng food.
Chinchin: Ah. Hinahanap kasi kita eh.

Hahahah! CUTE.

Josh and I went to Starbucks at Pearl to meet up with my friends. Sinalubong namin nila Tammy, Trey, Mike, Toby, at PJ and birthday ko. Hahaha! It was fun, we were reminiscing about college… Then after midnight came, we left na (talagang inabangan lang ang birthday ko eh no!). Hahahahahaha!!!

MAY 8, 2005.
Chil, Josh, and I had dinner at Friday’s Tomas Morato and coffee at *bucks Loop. I had so much fun, although my back still hurt like hell. We had to go home a bit early because I had to go to the hospital the next day to have my back checked. :(

MAY 9 – 13, 2005.
I had my PST for the new account. I met new people, and I had fun. My backaches worsened. It would take me about 10 minutes to get up from my seat and walk to the elevator to go down and smoke. That’s how bad it was. But the pain wasn’t enough to stop me to get up and smoke. Hahaha!

MAY 14, 2005.
Mark’s birthday party!!! Super fun! Though it was in Paranaque, we didn’t mind. We saw high school friends, drank wine, and more wine, and more wine… Hahaha!!! ** Tammy was drunk. She made out with Johnny Walker.

MAY 21, 2005.
Twinkle’s surprise party! Twinkle is my Days daughter. My favorite Days daughter. Hahaha! Nag-iisang anak? Hahaha! Joke lang, A22! I had fun concocting drinks for everyone. We came up with “good job,” which is gin, vodka, sprite, blue curacao, and island lime. Hahaha! I just put whatever was at Twinkle’s bar, and I magically made a drink that everyone loved! Hahaha! Honestly, maybe I should make drink mixing a career. We visited the Convergys Commonwealth site, and I saw some of my former trainees. We were still supposed go back to Twinkle’s party, but I figured it was too late to do that. Hehehe.

JUNE 3 – 5, 2005.
A29! It was a great batch. Chil and I sponsored one participant each. I sponsored Peejay, and she sponsored Martin. It was a great batch. I was entertainment head with Wawie, and needless to say, we made everyone laugh with our well-rehearsed dance numbers (imagine… Dandan topless dancing Totoy Bibo, Ria being carried a-la Vilma by Grip and Josh to the tune of Macho Papa… hahaha!)… It was a successful batch… But then again, what batch isn’t? =D

JUNE 8, 2005.
A month after my back pains started, I went to see a neurosurgeon. Turns out, I had a LUMBAR DISC BULGE WITH NERVE COMPRESSION. Go figure. Bwah.

JUNE 18, 2005.
Fete de la Muzique Rocked!!! (although it would have been better minus all the sweaty, topless guys sitting ON Julia Vargas and ADB ave.) But nonetheless, it rocked!!!

JUNE 26, 2005.
Chil, Josh, Kiel, Wawie, and I had a raket at the Makati Sports Club for Microsoft. They had a kids’ camp, and we were tasked to be in the day care group. I was assistant team lead, although what I did wasn’t really much different from what the others did. Chil, Wawie, and I were assigned to the toddlers, while Josh and Kiel were assigned to the Pre-Teens. Talk about RIOT!!! Some kids wanted to go home, some wanted to eat, some wanted to go to the bathroom, some wanted to play with the computers, some wanted to hang around Jack, Alice, Word-up, Excel-lent, Penelope Powerpoint, Mr. Encarta… Long story… I had TONS of fun, though. I had a favorite kid. Her name’s Jinka. She’s so adorable. She was soooo behaved. She was wearing a simple corduroy shirt dress, and her long and beaaaaaaautiful hair was put in place by a shadam-dadam (ahahaha, I just had to call it that). We were there from 10am-6pm, we had coffee at *bucks Valero after, and when I got home, I plopped down on my bed and went off to a deeeeeeeeeep sleep.

JUNE 30, 2005.
Pilar left for Spain. So sad. We all trooped to her condo for some quality time before she left. I was late, though, because I woke up late. I got here about 3pm na. Here’s something funny:

* Kaia walks in
Everyone: Kaia! Kain ka muna! Upo kana dito! Kain ka lang! Dami pang manok oh! (pointing to the bucket of KFC)
Kaia: Okay! Thanks!
* Kaia proceeds to eat KFC chicken. When she was on her 2nd piece…
Tammy: Okay, guys, that’s (insert amount here) each for the chicken.
* Kaia dramatically drops the chicken
Kaia: PUTANG INA! Hindi ko namana hiningi to ah!

Bwahahahahahahaha!!! Seriously, tawa kami ng tawa nun. Hahahaha! Nagbayad naman ako no. Hahaha! We couldn’t bring Pilar to the airport anymore because of transpo problems… So we all said goodbye to her at her condo. I’m gonna miss that place. I’m gonna miss the comfy couch, the champagne ice cream, the smoking balcony. I’m gonna miss Marie, Sumo, and Otis… I’m gonna miss Pilar. Awwww… I LOVE MY FRIENDS!!!

July 14, 2005.
Convergys Makati had its 80’s theme day! Hahaha! Everyone was required to wear anything 80’s inspire, or else they had to pay a fine of 50 pesos. Knowing how I get worked up about these sorts of things, of course kinareer ko! Hahahaha! Mia Pratts ito!!! Seriously, I had a lot of fun dressing up, and seeing all of my officemates dressed up as well! Never minds the fact that I was wearing a sheer top and it was FREEZING in the office. Hahahaha!

July 15, 2005.
Watched Kyla in Beauty and the Beast in Meralco with Erix, Trey, Bobs, Baba, Mikey, Cholo, Twinka, Lee-Ann, and Chai! Yey! Hooray for Kyla!!! **Applause, applause!!!**

July 16, 2005.
Hay. Everyone is leaving. Third’s despedida party… We arrived late, but we had TONS of fun… We played the “may iniisip ako” game… Nakakatawa yung mga pangalang lumabas… Hahaha! Mga… BoyBitsVictoria… Samboy Lim… Armando Goyena… Tessie Quintana… Wehehehehehe! CLASSIC!!! The fun part ended, though, when we had to leave… I ended up crying because I said good-bye to Third. I’m gonna miss him sooooooo much. He’s like the kuya I never had, and he left na. Wah... But he had to do what he had to do. I’m happy he’s happy with his wife Itin in Australia. =D Third, come home na, and take Itin na lang with you. Hehehe.

July 23, 2005.
Eric and Cheska’s birthday party!!! Erix, Anj, and I trooped to Alabang (in less than 30 minutes, in fairness!) and celebrated Eric and Cheska’s birthdays with our Southridge friends! Suuuuuuper fun! We spent the whole night laughing (about a lot of stuff… Carter getting drunk, Carter entering the gates of the Chinese temple, Everyone wanting to leave for Tagaytay for coffee… Hahahaha! We love you, Eric and Cheska!), and drinking wine, and watching friends, and talking about friends, and taking pictures!!! Ria dropped by too for a while. =D Anj, Erix, and I went home at around 5am na! Hahaha! But it was really, really fun… Worth traveling to the South! Hahaha! Kidding! We love you, Southridge friends!

July 30, 2005.
Toby’s surprise party! Hehehe! For no occasion at all! Super fun! Even if I didn’t drink (because I had to wake up early for EK), I had a lot of fun. We just spent the night hanging out at Tammy’s house, catching up, eating, singing, and laughing!!!

July 31, 2005.
ENCHANTED KINGDOM wahooooooooooo!!! This was supposed to be Joshua’s surprise party, but… It didn’t turn out as much of a surprise for him because the only people there to surprise him were Cybele and Timo. Wahahahaha! But we had a lot of fun anyway! I just fet bad that I couldn’t ride the Space Shuttle because of my back. Stupid back. Pero sulit. Sobrang sulit pa rin ang EK (kahit na umulan!). Hahaha! After EK, we went to town to have dinner with Eric and Cheska at Italianni’s. We had dessert in Eric’s house after. Josh and I got home at around midnight, an I literally plopped down on the bed and drifted off to lala land. Hahaha!

August 6, 2005.
Tammy’s surprise despedida Party!!! (I swear, everyone is leaving. =( wah.) This was suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper fun!!! Anj and I picked Tammy up at another surprise party for a friend of hers, we blindfolded her, and took her to…. HER HOUSE! Hahaha! It was funnycoz she was the one who shouted “SURPRISE!” instead of the people who were waiting for her! A lot of people made it to say goodbye to Baba… people from A-Days… From Ateneo… From Southridge… and of course, her ever-beautiful barkada!!! (especially the two people who planned the party **wink, wink, anj!**) Hahahah! I had so much fun! There was a lot of drinks, a lot of food, a lot of good friends… and a lot of tears… =( hay… baba! I will miss you! I was going to see tammy the next day but I wa crying when I left her house… **sapak** hahaha! I love you babooshki!

Finally... I haven't been writing on a daily basis, again. Hahaha! As you know, the only time I get to access the internet is when I'm at work, and when I'm at work... I'm... uh... working (duh). Hahaha! So I barely have the time to write here. Since it's a Saturday night, and I'm one hour away from the end of my shift, there's nothing much left to do... So... here I am. **yawn** And I'm sleepy too. Anyway...
January 28, 2005
Massage day. Finally.
I had been wanting a massage for the longest time, but my schedule makes it difficult for me to get one during the weekdays. On weekends, however, I would rather lie around the house and rest, rather than drive to get my massage, then drive back home after.
On Monday, I went to Ateneo with Wawie to watch Marie's thesis. It was a dance concert which had three dances: one for Luzon, one for Visayas, and another one for Mindanao. It was a great concert, and wonderfully coreographed. I got goosebumps while watching the dance for Mindanao. It was so symbolic and I could feel the emotion that the dancers wanted to convey. Basta. Galing. Kakaiba.
Anyway, I picked Joshua up from White Plains (he was studying for his final exams) and went home na. Wawie was already there when I got home. We had dinner, then we played CatchPhrase. Ang nakakatawa dun, we played it in an different way... Hehehe! Wawie needed to use the bathroom. Obviously, I couldn't stay with him inside, so I sat on the other side of the door and we played. Hahaha! When it was my turn to use the bathroom, Wawie stayed inside my room to describe the words. Hahaha! It was really fun!
Then, the highlight of my night... a WONDERFUL massage. Ahhhhhhh.I really felt good afterwards. My back didn't hurt anymore, and there was noticeably lesser pain on my legs. Ah. Sarap.
Then we just watched Friends, until he had to go home.
The day was a lot of fun, and reaaaaaaaly relaxing at the same time.
Erix, I'm looking forward to our Spa Date!!! Yahooooooo!!!
March 2, 2005.
Wawie and I watched Hitch at Powerplant. Really, really, really nice movie. LA was supposed to watch with us (HRMPH) but he wasn't able to because of work, I think. But the movie was really nice! It was a romantic comedy, a first for my honey Will Smith. :) Hahaha! At! In fairness, ang ganda ni Eva Mendes (Wawie's honey) doon. Ang galing ng chemistry nila. I would recommend that you watch the movie, astig. Just make sure the Pinky Amador isn't sitting behind you (dahil ang lakas niya tumawa). Hahaha!
We went to Starbucks after, and guess whe was there? PINKY AMADOR! Hahaha! Wawie and I talked and talked until it was time to go. When we were leaving, I think Pinx (close kami eh. haha!) was talking about wart removal. Hahahaha!!!
Waw, grow your hair so you can hit on Pinx. Hahahahahahahahaha!!! =D
March 3, 2005.
Lisa had planned a dinner, but because I was (and still am) on the midshift, I was only able to follow after dinner. When I got to Jack's Loft, they were on their way to have coffee at Starbucks (paalis na rin pala sina Lisa nun)... So we went, and I ended up having a really, really, really great time. It was so fun! Catching up with each other, reminiscing about high school and college, laughing at jokes we've heard over and over, laughing (and getting grossed out--right bobs?) at jokes we'd only heard then. I miss them. Haaaaay. Bobs and I were the last people to leave.

When I got home, I was senti. hay. Miss my friends.

** Today, I was with Erix, Bobs, Ria, Alessa, Mark (btw, I will never understand why you love to annoy me), Lisa, Ding, Trey, Mike, Waps

March 4, 2005.

I took a leave to be able to attend the days socials thing. Picked Bobs up, and we had lunch at Sweet I. Sarap! Yahoo! We walked around campus after, then we went to cervini for the Socials. There was a mass, and a short meeting. We ended at 7-something.
We went to Tammy's house, ate Pizza (yummmmmm), played a dating game (bwahahahaha! WAWIE! You owe me ice cream!), and played scrabble. I never knew Scrabble would be soooo tiring. Hahahaha! We were laughing our asses off during one part of the same. Seriously, we were literally in tears, and telling each other to stop, dahil hindi na namin kaya. Hahahaha!!! We left Tammy's house at about 11. Wawie was picked up at the house, he left at 12-something. We bonded and he lectured me on something. Hahaha! (NO!!!! -- See, Wawie, I'm learning). I started the conversation heavy-hearted, but when Wawie left, I felt a lot better.

Thanks, Waw! You rock! NO! Cine ba to? :D

**Today I was with Bobs, Wawie, Erix, Ria, Dandan, Anj, Tammy, Joshua, A-DAYS

TODAY.

My head hurts. Seriously. Before starting to write this post, I was trying to accomplish three different tasks at the same time. ANG SAKIT SA ULOOOOOOOOOOO!!! And it doesn't help that I'm the only one willing to work with MS Excel. I'm gonna meet up with Josh and Cris at Starbucks (it's his grad ball) at about 1030. I need my coffee. I want to go home.

Really, I have no life.

Before last night, I had no social life whatsoever... If you even count last night a social event. Hahaha.

Last Monday Chil and I went to Cribs. It was one of the most amzaing things I've ever experienced. While Chil was feeding the crawlers, she left me with the toddlers. Most of them were one year old, or had just turned one. My favorite babies were JM and JJ. They were the ones I carried most of the time (because they would cry if I put the down. haha). I loved how JM would wrap his tiny arms around me as soon as I was carrying him. His eyes were so beautiful, too. Really round, with loooooooong, curly eyelashes. His eyes seemed to contain something I've never seen in a kid's eyes before. It was like he was trying to tell me something, I just couldn't tell what. Hay. I swear, I wanted to take JM home!!! Hahaha! On Monday night we also watched Dreamboy. Hahaha! Sayang eh, I had extra tickets from Manong (Direk Gilbert Perez), and I didn't want to give them away. Besides, si Piolo rin yun ano. hahaha! But honestly, it was a really good movie. ASTIG, yun lang ang masasabi ko.

Other than Monday, nothing very eventful happened this week. Most of the time, I went to work, went home, watched a little TV, continued writing my book, then went to bed... I was not really happy about the one-day off we had because of the Edsa Revolution Anniversary. Hahaha! I stayed at home, watched DVDs, and went to Dencios in Capitol because my mom had a golf tournament and she dragged us to the awarding.

By Saturday afternoon, I was getting really restless. I don't know why, I just was. I was chatting with Wawie and we decided to drink at the house that night. Tammy texted to tell me that she would be within the area, so I invited her as well. I got home at 10:30 (picked up tammy at Annapolis then went home, where Dandan, Joshua, and Wawie were already waiting), the brought my dad to Lola Sionie's wake. I was back at the house in 30 minutes. Wawie and I cooked DELICIOUS fried rice (as in masarap talaga...), then we played the Friends trivia game... It was really fun, because Mikey was there as well and he played the Game master. hahaha! In tru Monica fashion, I won the game. Hahahaha! Tammy and her brothers left at about 1:30 am, and Wawie at abot 3:00. I finally went to be bed at 5:30 am, because I was writing my book. :D

I am now at Galleria with my mom, who had to go online to check her schedule. And now... She's done. So I will finish this entry when I get to go online again... Which will probably be on Tuesday, at work. hahaha!!! :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN TRAVOLTA, CYBILL SHEPHERD, AND YOKO ONO-LENNON!!!

I haven't been updating my blog -- again. Hahaha! This week was so fun, albeit stressful, for me! So I could say I got the right amount of work and play in my system. Hehehe!

SATURDAY.
February 12, 2005.

I had just gotten home from work, and I was getting ready to take a shower when
Wawie texted me to ask if I wanted to have coffee at the Starbucks near my place. I couldn't go out anymore, as I was ready to take a bath already. So I told him I couldn't, and asked if he wanted to drop by. He said he needed to smoke, so he would pass by. I took a bath. After I stepped out of the shower, I received a text saying that he was on Ortigas already. I replied, telling him to text me when he was downstairs already. As soon as I sent the message, I heard a knock on my bathroom door. I asked who it was, and it was Wawie. Hahaha! Geddem, I didn't bring any clothes with me into the bathroom! Hahaha! I was panicking already when I remembered I had a bathrobe hanging from the shower curtain bar. Hahaha! I wore the robe and stepped out of the bathroom, hair still dripping wet. Hahaha! I dressed up (disclaimer: in the bathroom, ha. Bastos! Hahaha!), then we went down to the front porch to smoke and wait for Joshua (he was at the LaSalle HS fair. When Joshua came, the three of us went back up to my room and played catch phrase. LAUGH TRIP. Yun lang lang masasabi ko. We would occassionally pause the game just to laugh. hahaha! Since there were only three of us playing at the time, we assigned one person to describe the words, then two people would try to guess the words, race to 15 points. Hahaha! Laugh trip talaga, kakaiba! We finished playing a little before 2am. Hahaha!!! I shall leave you with this:

*the word was SEASON PASS. Wawie was the one describing.
Wawie: When you want to watch a basketball game, you buy a...
Kaia and Joshua (in unison): Ticket!
Wawie: Yeah, but if it's a bigger game, or like a lot of games, you buy a...
Joshua (with conviction): SCALPER!!!

Bwahahahahahaahahahahaha!!! :D

SUNDAY.
February 13, 2005.

BATANGAAAAAAAAAAAAS!!! It was my Lolo's birthday last Sunday, and he decided to spend it in Batangas. not in the beach, though. Sayang. But good enough. He spent it in Club Malarayat in Lipa. It was sooo fun. Chil, Joshua, and I went ahead because we helped tita Pinky with the games (yep, again, there were games for the kids)... We swam, facilitated games, received loot bags (yehey! Tama nga si Tita Jing, mura lang ang bayad sa amin, loot bag masaya na kami. Hahaha!), swam some more, lay under the sun, swam more... Hahaha! You get the picture. Oh, and I just realized how Chinese we are. Everyone was REQUIRED to wear read. There were only a handful of people who weren't wearing red, but everywhere I looked, PURO PULA. As in. I never heard the end of it from Chil.

We parked our stuff at the Malarayat Inns, and took a bath. We went to dinner at Uncle Jack's house, about 2 kilometers from Malarayat. Yummy. Bopis... Laing... Adobong manok... And to cap it all of... YUMMY Red Wine and Foie Gras... Ahhhh... Heaven... Oh, and Lindt Chocolates. Wah. Sarap. We spent the rest of the evening at Uncle Jack's house, playing 123 pass and old maid with the kids. I had a lot of fun, though we were about 11 years apart... Hahaha!

We went back to The Inns and dressed up. Joshua, Chil, and I went out into this open fied (which was a putting green, I think. hahaha!), laid a sarong and started stargazing. We didn't take long looking at the stars, though, because we got our Catchphrase and started playing. LAUGHTRIP PART TWO. Kakaiba nanaman to! Hahaha!!!

* The word was VONCANO. Joshua was describing.
Josh: Ummm... Magma!
Kaia: CUM LAUDE!!!

**The word was CHERRY PIE. Kaia was describing.
Kaia: Ummm... Picache!
Chil: Maurice!

Geddem. Hahaha!!! :D

MONDAY.
February 14, 2005.
V-Day. UGH Day.

Woke up really, really late. We had planned to go swimming in the morning but we were just too tired to get up and catch the sun. hahaha! We spent most of the morning in bed, flipping through the channels, taking a peek at the Grammy Awards, and falling back to sleep. hahaha! We took a bath (by the way, may kwento tong part na to, pero hindi ko masusulat... Hmmm... write a message na lang sa guestbook then I'll tell you about it. Hahaha!), packed our stuff, and went to Uncle Jack's house. Mom, Chil, Tita Jing, and I hung out by the dining table, fixing ourselves nachos for brunch. YUM YUM! The works! Sour Cream, Cheese, Salsa, Guacamole and Jalapeno peppers. Sarap, kakaiba. Hahaha!

We stayed for a little bit longer, then the three of us (Chil, Josh and I) went back to Manila. Oh, we played Catchphrase in the car, by the way. Hahaha!

We got home at about 5:00 pm. Erix came a bit later and we had some drinks before going out to dinner. It was so much fun as well. We got ready, and we left the house at about 7:30 to bring Chil home and proceed to Estwood.

This was the MAJOR Highlight of my day. I didn't really think of Valentine's day the entire day until we got to Estwood, but seeing all the couples walk around the place made me a bit nauseous. Hahaha! Joke lang. :) It made me remember the fact that I didn't have a special someone. But when I saw all my friends (Tammy, Erix, Lisa, Trey, Kyla, Anj, Ria, Pilar, Bobs) gathered in the outdoor table at Pasto, I began to feel a hundred times better. Suddenly, I didn't care if I was single or not. I had a lot of special someoneS, and I'm glad I was spending the night with them. We were laughing uncontrollably the ENTIRE night. Seriously, kinabag yata ako when I got home. We were laughing at the weirdest things... Balloons with shredded Japanese paper and a teddy bear, heart-shaped pizza, roses na nasa kabaong... Basta, feeling ko kami lang ang talagang makakaintindi (at matatawa ng ganon) doon. Bwahahaha! Sa gabing iyon, I didn't care if no one gave me flowers... I didn't care if I wasn't asked to a candlelight dinner... I didn't care if on that day, no one came on a white horse and whisked me off my feet... Although I still want those things to happen to me, I wasn't as "depressed" as I was during the previous Valentine's Days that I went through. I was just glad (actually, more than glad) to be spending V-day with the people that mean the most to me -- my friends. :D

I love you, friends! Here's to heart-shaped pizzas, cheesy balloons, artic strawbeery with tonic, and endless laughter. I'm 101% sure we'll go a long, long way. :D

TUESDAY.
February 15, 2005.

I went to work. Angel and I bought flowers for each other. Hahaha! We looked like crazy people holding boquets of flowers, laughing all the way from the lobby to the 31st floor. Hahaha! Although I had work to do, being with my fun officemates made it a hell of a lot easier to bear.

After work, I picked Wawie up from his house because he had to interview me for his docu class. We had dinner at Chilis, then proceeded to do the interview at the house. After the interview, we had a bottle of sparkling red wine (yum!), and we recorded the first two episodes of The Wawie and Kaia Show! Hahaha! Super fun!

THURSDAY.
February 17, 2005.

I took a leave because I had dysmenorrhea. After lunch, the pain subsided a little bit, and at about 330pm, I met up with my mom and Lola Minda at Greenhills. We walked around a bit, had merienda at Bangus, then brought my Lola home. Mom and I went to California Nails to get ourselves a well-deserved foot spa. I treated my mom to a footspa and a manicure, and also to dinner at Spageddi's. We got home at about 9:30 pm, and I glued myself in front of my laptop to work on my book. :D

At about 1130pm,
Kyla texted me. She asked me if I was home already. Potah. I forgot, may sleep-over pala kami. Hahaha! I told her to go to the house na. She got there at about 1am, we watched Friends, exchanged chicka, and laughed the night away. I fell asleep while watching Friends, and Kyla slept after a while. I think we fell asleep at about 430 am. Hahaha!

TODAY.
February 18, 2005.

I gotta get back to work. I spent way too much time updating my blog. Hahaha! I'm sooo sleepy!!! I wanna go hozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Got this from Kyla's blog...
**Ky, Check your mail please!**

If you read this journal,
even if I don't speak to you often,
post a memory of me.
It can be anything you want.
It can be good or bad,
just so long as it happened.

Then post this to your journal. See what people remember about you... (let's see how many people respond to this and what they have to say... hahahahaha.)

** Since I don't have a comments link on my page and find it next to impossible to place one (believe me, I've tried), Please post your memories on my guestbook. The link is located above the tagboard. Thanks! :D **

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRISTINA RICCI, JUDY BLUME, CHARLES DARWIN and ABRAHAM LINCOLN! -- BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JENNIFER ANISTON! (sorry, kelangan ko lang talaga siya batiin. hahaha!)
Happy birthday din kay Sheryl Pedrigala! Miss na kita, girl!

Once, there was a kid who planted a carrot seed and patiently waited for it to grow. He watered it every day, pulled out the weeds and cared for it as if it were his child. Everyday, the adults around him shook their heads and told him that it would not grow. That did not stop the little boy from taking care of his plant. One day, to the adults' amazement -- the plant grows into a giant carrot worhty to be taken to the state fair.

The carrot seed is one of my favorite books. I fell in love with the book the first time I saw it (I was in National Bookstore Katipunan with Ria, December 2003). I bought the book for my brother, and Ria gave me my own copy for Christmas 2003. (thanks, Ree.)

The book may be simple enough for a three-year-old to read, but the message is something that everyone will find meaningful. The lesson to be learned is not only that of perseverance or blind faith (although I believe that these are important lessons that one can get from reading the book), but of something more important, and more close to my heart... It is not simple perseverance, but perseverance in the midst of the people who try to bring you down or influence you to think and act away from your morals or beliefs. It is a lesson to dare to dream big, to work hard, and have faith in oneself in the face of adversity.

I gave the book to my brother with the hope that he would understand what I feel about our relationship. I gave the book to my brother so that he may realize how much I care for him, how much faith I have in him, and how much I believed in him. So that he may realize that I, just like the little boy, will never give up on him, though other people may make it seem as if there is no hope. But I also wanted him to realize that he, too, can be like the little boy, and never give up in the midst of the people who bring him down. He, too, can dare to dream big, to work hard, and have faith in himself. He treasures the book as much as I treaure it now.

Which is why I was disappointed about what happened last night. I was not disappointed at him. I was disappointed at what he did. I hope he realizes that if he wants to find out who he really is, who the real he is, what he did last night was not the way to do it. I'm dissapointed, too, at the way his friends act. I'm disappointed at the fact that he has to do all of these for his friends to like him. I had to make it clear to him that if that is the case, then maybe it isn't right for him to hang out with these people anymore. I know I can't make his decisions for him, and I can't really stop him from doing what he wants to do. I just want him to recognize the love that his only sister has for him, and that he ought to try harder to achieve the things he wants, because believe it or not, whatever happens, I would be proud of him, and I would die for him. Because he's my brother, and that's reason enough for me.

**But I was so sad last night, that I cried myself to sleep. When I got to the office this afternoon, I looked like a raccoon. Shyet.**

Soneto XVII
Pablo Neruda

Sonnet 17
Pablo Neruda

I do not love you as if you were a rose made of salt or topaz
or an arrow of carnations spreading fire:
I love you the way certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you like the plant that does not flower,
but conceals within itself the light of those flowers;
and, thanks to your love, the darkness of my body
houses the suffocating aroma that arose from the earth.

I love you without knowing how, when, or where from;
I love you straightforwardly, with neither problems nor pride:
I love you so, not knowing how to love you otherwise,

just this way that is not me and is not you...
So close that your hand on my chest is mine,
so close that your eyes grow heavy when my eyes tire.

Twenty love poems and a song of despair
Pablo Neruda

XX

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.

Write, for example: "The night is shattered
and the blue stars shiver in the distance."

The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.

She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.

To hear immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like a dew to the pasture.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is shattered and she is not with me.

This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

My sight searches for her as though to go to her.
My heart looks fer her, and she is not with me.

The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.

Another's. She will be another's. Like my kisses before.
Her voice. Her bright body. Her inifinte eyes.

I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is short, forgetting is so long.

Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.

Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses I write for her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBERTA FLACK!

I know, I know... It's been ages since I've written here... Believe it or not, I've been really busy... Not only with work, but my weekends have been full to the brim as well (kala mo naman dahil sa gimmick eh no! hahaha!)... Hmmm.

MAC-MAC'S 1ST BITRHDAY PARTY.
January 29, 2005.

I picked Chil up on my way home from work, because Tita Jing asked the two of us to "host" (well, more of think of games for the kids and facilitate them) the first birthday party of my cousin, Macmac. Chil and I had made plans to sleep before leaving the house (we had planned to leave the house at about 11:30am)... We tried, but we couldn't. She had had enough sleep, and I wasn't really sleepy. Finally, at about 11am, we took a bath, dressed up, and left the house. We had lunch at A Venetto (yummy...) and passed by Office Warehouse in Libis to buy the materials needed for the games. We then went to White Plains to prepare the "program" and the materials, and to delegate which prizes go to the winners of which games. At about 3pm (the party was to start at 4pm), Tita Jing asked me to look for a place which inflates baloons with helium, because apparently, the ones in Katipunan (White Plains side) didn't have helium available. I remembered this place we went to on Xavierville, so we decided to go there. Traffic on Katipuanan was HEAVY, so we decided to make a U-turn and pass through Libis. We got to the first balloon place, and they didn't have helium. The second balloon place, thankfully, had helium available, so we parked the car and had the balloons filled. Antagal pala magpalagay ng helium. Leche. Ang mahal din pala. We left the baloon place (or whatever you call it) at about 3:45pm. Traffic on Katipunan (White Plains-bound) was HEAVY as well, so we took the back roads and entered to narrower Katipunan Ave. via Santolan. My mom called and asked us to buy ice at Select. We went there, but they had no ice available. So we dropped Joshua off at the house before rushing to the White Plains convenience store to buy ice. We arrived at the party at 5pm already!!! We facilitated the games (ang hirap pala!), joshua performed a magic show... blah, blah, blah... The party ended at about 8pm. We staed to watch the celebrant open his presents. By then, I hadn't eaten yet. My mom and Chil tried to persuade me to eat, pero hindi rin ako nakakain ng matino... You know the feeling when you have no sleep at all, na your body rejects food already because your digesttive system can't function anymore because your body lacks the energy to do so? Well, ganun... Kaya hindi na rin ako nakakain. Anyway, we were finally able to leave the house at about 10pm na... It was a good experience, though. No matter how tired I may have been after, or no matter how much my body desired sleep during the party, it was well worth it. I had a lot of fun. :)

LETTING GO part ONE.
January 30, 2005.

No, this is not some mushy-tear-in-my-eye sort of post. I let go of a lot of my clothes. Hahaha! Lola Coring (resident labandera and plantsadora of the Aguas household) had been pestering me for two months to clean out my closet. So finally, I gave in. Hahaha! I never knew I had so many clothes! In fact, I never knew I had a certain piece of clothing until last Sunday. Hahaha! I had to "let go" of clothes that:

a.) Didn't fit me anymore (duh)
b.) I hadn't worn for more than a year, or
c.) Probably never will in this lifetime

So we spent the entire day cleaning. I filled a number of garbage bags with clothing. I asked our helpers to pick out whatever they wanted from the bags. I also gave some clothes to Biring, Chil's yaya. The rest of the clothes will go to the victims in Infanta (I hope we haven't forgotten about them)... Then, I color coordinated the clothes that were on the hangers, and I segregated the clothes which were on the shelves. hahaha. :) Needless to say, that was a very fulfilling day. :) Hahaha!

BOBS AND KAIA'S VIDEO-O-O-O-KE NIGHT.
January 3, 2005.

Wawie, Buloid, Bobs, and I had dinner at Bubba Gump. Yum, yum. Buloid couldn't staye long because he had to pick someone up. After dinner, Wawie, Ral (he stopped by Bubba Gump to say hi), Bobs, and I waled around Greenbelt until Ral had to go home. :( The three of us went to SBC to have tea (well, I had tea, they didn't drink anything. haha). Wawie had to go home as well, soooo... Bobs and I went to Red Box to sing all night long! Hahaha! It was soooooo fun! It was only the two of us (loser! haha!), but we had the microphones all to ourselves. We also had control over which songs we wanted to play, so it was much more fun... Of ourse, we couldn't let the night pass without having a Sharon Cuneta medley. Hahaha! Sharonian yata kami. Hahaha! We finished singing at about 2am, and Bobs had to go home... But it was fun, it was really fun. Well worth the leave i took. Hahaha! :D

AN EXTREMELY BAD WEEK.
January 31-February 4, 2005.

Yep, that's right. I had an extremely bad week last week. I will not go into the details. Let's just say that last week, I was... Overworked and underpaid. Hahaha!

PERO BINAWI NI JESS.
February 5, 2005.

Oo, binawi ni Jess yung bad week na hinagis niya sa mukha ko. Hahaha! I went to the Ed Session at Tammy's house. We talked about desires. I really liked the session, and I felt that it made me realize a lot of things... (my last post is connected to what I realied). Basta, yung mga taong nasa Ed Session, naiintindihan niyo naman ako, diba?

Hay. Mahal ko talaga si Jess.

LETTING GO part TWO.
February 6-8, 2005.

Letting go part two was about cleaning my room, and letting go of stuff that I knew I wanted to keep because:

a.) I might need it someday
b.) It reminds me of something/someone, and I don't want to throw it away
c.) Someone gave it to me, and for me, that would be enough reason not to give it away

But I had to let go of some stuff (well, a lot of stuff actually). Chil played devil's advocate while we were cleaning. She'd find something, and this is how our conversation would go:

Chil: Lagay ko na to sa bag ha? That maids can use it pa!
Kaia: Wag!
Chil: Bakit? Hindi mo naman gagamitin to eh!
Kaia: (insert reason)

Basta, she would ask me all sorts of questions, at kelangan ko talagang maipagtanggol yung bagay na yun. I have to give enough justification for me to be able to keep it; otherwise, I have to let go. Honestly, it was very therapeutic.

We cleaned from 5am (well, I started at 5) Sunday to 2am Monday... Then again, at 10am Monday to 1am Tuesday. I finished up when I got home from work on Tuesday night. I filled a lot of bags with stuff to give away to the helpers and their families, and again, to the victims of the typhoons here in the Philippines.

So, I'm gonna have to give myself a pat on the back. **pat, pat** And Chil too. :D *pat, pat*

Good Job, Kae. :D

PARTY PLANNING.
February 9, 2005.

Anj and I had a late dinner at Cafe Breton Greenbelt after work last night. We wer planning our birthday party (which is in May). Hahaha! Tagal pa no? Basta, yun na yun. Hahaha!

I had a delicious three-cheese crepe for dinner and a strawberry-nutella crepe for dessert. yum.

I got home at about 1230am. Mom was waiting for me, because she wanted to have tea. **bounce out story tomorrow, promise** Hahaha!

Watched Starting Over, then went to be at about 230am. Haaaay.

TODAY.
February 10, 2005.

Work, work, work.

But Wawie texted me a while ago... I HAVE TIKOY! Yey! Hehehe! thanks, waw, for making my day! 24 more minutes, then I shall go and get my tikoy! Wahooooooooooo!!!

Tikoy, here I come.

Happy Chinese New Year, to you, and you, and you. Especially to me. Hahaha!

Hay. Crazier by the minute. Oh no.

**Will post some pics when I upload them from my phone to my laptop. I can't seem to find my data cable... Anj, may I borrow yours? hehehe!**

My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going.
I do not see the road ahead of me.
I cannot know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself,
and the fact that I think that I am following your will
does not mean that I am actually doing so.
But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.
And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing.
I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire.
And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road
though I may know nothing about it.
Therefore I will trust you always
though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death.
I will not fear,
for you are ever with me,
and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

~Thomas Merton, Thoughts in Solitude~

-- Jess, May tiwala ako sayo.

Blech.
